Before & After PMU

What you should know about permanent make-up. Here you will find information and tips on the subject of PMU. What can I do so that the color pigments for permanent make-up can be optimally incorporated? – Avoid ointments and medications containing cortisone, as well as blood-thinning medications such as Aspirin or Marcumar. – Do not use eyelash hair growth products 2 months before eyelash line thickening or eyelid pigmentation. – The day before pigmentation, avoid anything that stimulates the body. This includes caffeine, exercise and sauna sessions. – Before pigmentation, you can lightly exfoliate the area to be pigmented so that the skin is nice and supple. You should avoid cosmetics and care that are too intensive or contain oil. These saturate the skin too much and make it difficult for the pigments to be absorbed. – If you have skin irritations or allergies, consult your dermatologist first. Then care for your skin until everything returns to normal. After the treatment, I recommend another two weeks of rest. Only then can you make an appointment. – Every skin reacts differently to color pigments; the durability of the pigments can also be influenced by metabolism. Scalp pigmentation (SMP) and eyebrow pigmentation previously used color pigments with metal particles that can change color. Some appear either bluish or reddish after a few years. The newly developed synthetic color pigments are significantly more stable and retain their original color for years.

What do I have to pay attention to after the treatment? (approx. 3-10 days) Until the scab falls off and the skin recovers: If possible, do not bring water to the pigmented area for the first 3 days. Excessive sweating should be avoided so that inflammation does not occur. Saunas, steam baths, indoor swimming pools, sports, showers, etc. soften the crust, which also contains color pigments, and this can come off. This causes some of the incorporated color to fall off and the permanent make-up will not be satisfactory. Intense sun is also taboo, otherwise scars can occur. The color pigments fade more in sunlight. How do I care for permanent make-up after treatment? Please do not use any medical or other greasy care creams! Customers who have used greasy creams after pigmentation tell me that their PMU fades faster.  Unfortunately, these care products do not seem to be suitable for permanent make-up. Therefore, ONLY use special PMU care products or pure aloe vera, hyaluronic acid (for the eyebrows) and/or pharmaceutical lip care. You can apply this as needed until it heals. You can then use your preferred products again. Eyebrows and lips should be protected from intense sun with a high sun protection factor.

When is caution necessary?  * In the case of immune diseases: possible after consultation with the treating doctor. * With diabetes: the healing process generally takes longer and the color is different. Possible after consultation with the treating doctor. * During or after cancer therapy: the blood values must be positive. Possible after consultation with the treating doctor. * If you have allergies: Do you have an allergy pass? If you are allergic to nickel or latex, a PMU is possible. Please let us know in advance. * With acne preparations, the skin quality improvement pill or cortisone: the color does not last. The skin swells too quickly. After discontinuing the medication for a period of 4-6 weeks, pigmentation is possible. * If you have HIV or are taking cortisone for a long time: the color is very difficult to absorb due to thinner, firm skin and the result may differ from the desired color. Bruises may occur. * With blood-thinning medications: the color pigments are constantly flushed out due to increased bleeding and lymphatic fluid escaping. This lengthens the treatment time and makes it more difficult. The color becomes less intense overall. Eyelash line thickening or eyeliner is not possible. * For epilepsy: only possible after consulting your doctor. * For herpes: a lip PMU is possible with medications such as Valtrex and Valaciclovir (requires a prescription). Be sure to carry out herpes prophylaxis before pigmentation. Cannot be pigmented: * Conjunctivitis (brow, eyelid) * Pregnancy and breastfeeding * Hemophilia * Keloid scars * Influence of alcohol and drugs * Acute heart and circulatory problems

How long does permanent make-up last?

Permanent make-up lasts different lengths of time for each person. The condition of the skin, the use of medication as well as the individual metabolism as well as care and exposure to the sun are crucial factors. However, it usually fades after 4 to 5 years. However, it can be refreshed at any time. You can get a refresher of my own work with a 30% discount. Colors may change and become reddish or purple. The mineral colors of the older generation contained iron and copper oxide. As the color faded, the oxide remained in the skin and the eyebrows became purple or reddish. Since 2012, synthetic colors have been preferred. These contain no heavy metals or oxides and are therefore hyperallergenic and sensitive. They are produced without animal testing. Can my skin react allergically? There are no known skin intolerances to date. The colors comply with Swiss law (EDI regulation) and are completely skin-friendly. They are regularly tested in the laboratory and given a registration number.
